My Current Skincare + Sephora VIB Sale

I was going to wait and do a video on my latest skincare routine, but since all of the products are on sale, I wanted to go ahead and give y’all the skinny on what I’ve been doing, in case you are interested in any of these products.

Beauty Tech

A few months ago, I posted about how I was stripping down my skincare routine since I was experiencing small breakouts. The first thing I added to my new routine was facial steaming. Immediately, this made a HUGE difference. Keep in mind, I have oily, textured skin with large pores. If you don’t have this skin type, it might not be as beneficial for you, but for me, it was extreme. I steam my face while I cleanse it twice a day (morning and night). I realize this is a little high maintenance, but the difference is so amazing that it’s more than worth it – plus, it’s relaxing. Since the Dr. Dennis Gross Steamer will be up to 20% off (see the bottom for VIB tiers and what your discount is), I highly recommend scooping it up.

I’ve recently added the Glo Pro into my routine, I’ve only been using it for about a week, so I don’t want to fully tell you my review, but so far I am really loving it and noticing a decrease in my facial texture. Since the steamer has helped my pores and breakouts, the texture is my main skincare concern. It’s a micro-needling tool that is supposed to provide firmer, smoother skin in just 60 seconds a day. But, it goes even further than that since it’s slightly prickling your skin. It also allows your serums to go in deeper and work even better. Very excited about this tool. If you aren’t a person working on your skin texture or don’t use serums, you may want to skip this step.

The NUFACE is no stranger on this blog, I mentioned it in my Must Have Travel Skincare and in a review of the product over 4 years ago (I’ve been a fan for a while!). I think it 100% helps to lift and contour your face. Think an electric facelift.

Skin Care

Currently, in the morning, I am steaming my face, while washing it with any sensitive cleanser. Then, I will use my NuFace, you don’t have to use it in the AM, but since it’s an instant perk to your face, I like to do it early. I use an SPF during the day but no other skincare. My skin is oily and it will just cause my makeup to slide right off. At night, I steam my face again, and every other day, I use the Glo Pro. After that, I apply my Vitamin C Serum and wait a few minutes for it to absorb. Then, I apply my retinol. I opted for a lower dosage, so I could work my way up instead of just having my face constantly peeling, the way a stronger retinol does. I wait a few minutes and then I use either the Glo Recipe Watermelon Mask (which I talk about all the time), or the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – it just depends. If I have a rogue zit (which I rarely get now), I will use the Mario Badescu spot treatment. I also use the Boscia Black Charcoal Mask about once a week, it’s been my favorite mask for years!

Everything else I recommend

What I’m picking up during the sale

Y’all, I went HAM during the Ulta sale, so I stocked up on pretty much everything. However, I’m going to get the Overtime Mask since I’m such a fan of the Jet Lag mask & the Urban Decay Heat palette. It’s not new and I’m surprised I don’t have it yet. Orange tones are my favorite for Summer. I’ve also been wanting to try the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte as a lighter foundation alternative for the summer.

Here’s the break down of discounts and sale dates depending on what level of Sephora Insider you are.
  • Rouges: April 26th through May 6th with code HEYROUGE
  • VIBs: May 2nd through May 6th with code HEYVIB
  • Beauty Insiders: May 2nd through May 6th with code HEYBI

Let me know if there’s anything else I should pick up during the sale!  Til next time,
