All You Need to Know About Microblading

I LOVE trying out new beauty procedures, especially ones that will actually lighten my day-to-day beauty routine. That is why I tried microblading a few years ago. I have good, full eyebrows but wanted them to be more even, more polished etc. After my first go-round with microblading, I really wasn’t impressed. I noticed almost no difference and it was certainly was not something I was looking to promote. I’m only going to recommend something I truly believe is worth it.

You guys seem to always be asking about my brows… if I had them microbladed and where I would recommend going in Houston. I love being a beauty resource for all types of services in the city, so I thought this time I would do a little research and try it again!

That leads me to M Pressive Faces and my eyebrow angel, Maggie. Like I said, I have good eye brows so I wasn’t expecting much of a change, but this time I was SO WRONG. Maggie gave me an extreme eyebrow makeover and I cannot recommend her enough. She’s.Worth.Every.Penny. Since getting my eyebrows done last week, I get stopped everywhere I go (yes, literally everywhere) asking about my brows. She filled in my bald spots, shaped them to actually match (those hairs have a mind of their own), and gave me that polished look I’ve always wanted.

Y’all obviously noticed a huge difference too because my DM’s on Instagram were going insane! I’ve never had so many questions on any topic before. So I’ve complied the most FAQ I received here.

What were your results?

What is Microblading?

It’s essentially tattoo makeup. AKA you don’t have to fill in your brows everyday. You can literally wake up like this lol.

How long does it last?

You need to go back for a follow up retouch 4-6 weeks after the intital microblading, after that it supposed to last about a year.

Does it hurt?

Okay so, the first time I got this done (not by Maggie), it did hurt. Two people had to hold my hand because I was being such a baby. However, this last time it didn’t hurt at all!! It’s definitely about who you go to and what numbing cream they give you.

What is the after care like?

While the dye is setting, you do wanna baby your brows. I constantly keep Aquaphor on my brow area and avoid water. I was told to do this for 7-10 days.

How much does it cost?

The first time I got this procedure done, I paid a few hundred bucks and wasn’t happy with the results. I do think you get what you pay for with this. Maggie is a Master Technician and teaches other people the art of Microblading. Price ranges start around $300 for a Brow Tech and then pricing goes up from there.  I would call them and see what works best for you (832-649-4126).

I hope that answers any questions y’all may have regarding microblading. Be sure to keep an eye out after my follow up appointment for a video on the process.

Til next time!
