My Favorite Self Tanning Products

IMG_6116

It’s no secret I love a good glow. I think everyone looks better with a tan and like my momma says “If you can’t tone it, tan it!”

After my last instagram selfie,  (pictured above) I got a TON of questions about my tan. I live in the south so I naturally get some color anyway, but truth be told, I rely on self tanners to keep my glow all year long. I’ve tried everything and now I’m spilling about my favorite 4 products.

Before you ask, no I don’t use them all at once {LOL}. They are very different types of products and I use them at different times. Here’s my break down.

Vita Liberata   pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse $54

I first heard about this product when Sophia Vegra was getting married and apparently it’s the tanner she used on her big day. This is a Mousse and it’s GORGEOUS on. I choose dark after reading reviews that it was actually closer to a medium tan. *Disclaimer* If you are already super dark, this product probably won’t be dark enough for you. For light to medium skin tones, this product is amazing. This isn’t a tanner that gives you instant color, you apply it over several days and it builds. We all like an instant bronze but because you build it, it does last at least a week or two. As opposed to coming right off in the shower. I recommend using their tanning mitt ($6) for an even color. This is probably the most user friendly out of all the tanners I use.

St. Tropez Tanning Essentials In Shower Gradual Tan $25

I’ve heard A TON of hype about St. Tropez but I didn’t try it until I saw that this was Khloe K’s go-to tanner. A tanner that is used in the shower sounds pretty strange, but this stuff works! It’s so easy too. All you do is apply it in your shower and wait 3 minutes, then rinse. Yes, that’s it. It doesn’t give me as much color as the others but this is my go-to when I’m feeling a little lazy and still want a glow. Plus, for a high-end tanner, you can’t beat the price at only $25!

Josie Maran Bronzing Argan Oil $39

Now this bronzer is the ultimate if you want color right now. I’m obsessed with anything Josie Maran does, and this product is no different. It’s her already amazing argan oil, with a bronzing solution that goes on truly brown. This product makes you dark and gives you a sexy dewy effect at the same time. Caution, after applying this product, it needs to dry or it’ll be a huge mess. I just run a blow dryer over my body for about a minute after using and I’m good to go.  (Also, when you order from QVC you get one of her color sticks too!).

St. Tropez Tanning Essentials Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mist $40

If I’m being honest, I actually accidently bought this product… I thought I was getting a mousse tanner instead of spray. However, as soon as I used it, I LOVED it!! My skin naturally goes pinky-red and this tanner has a little bit of green under tones so it compliments me perfectly. You don’t have to worry about looking fake or orange with this product. Plus, it smells soooo good. The only thing I’m not crazy about is that it’s a spray. I find it can be messier. So I spray it into my tanning mitt and I rub it on. I’ll use this one when I need an instant glow but I don’t want to be dewy like the argan oil makes me. It lasts a few washes.

Now I know nothing replaces a good natural tan, but ain’t nobody got time for that! Let me know if you try any of these products or what you guys use. Til my next post, Stay glowin’ beauties!
